Carroll Gardens accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American
Express. C.O.D. orders are not available.
Due to extra plant preparation required by certain states, all
Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nevada, Oregon,
Utah and Washington
orders are subject to a 20% surcharge. Orders which are exclusively
roses, and which are shipped during the months of March and April,
are exempt from this surcharge. This reduction will be taken at the
time your credit card is processed, and not at the time you place
your order through our website shopping cart.
Maryland State Sales Tax is required on all website orders shipped
to a Maryland address.
We do not accept or ship any orders outside of the Contiguous United
States. This includes Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or any United
States Protectorate. We also do not accept or ship any orders to
Canada.
Plants cancelled, by the customer, from orders within 7 days of
scheduled shipment are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Payment Security Statement
Carroll Gardens believes in providing a safe and secure shopping
experience for all of our customers. We provide stringent and
effective security measures on our Web site.
It is our policy to never send private information, such as your
credit card number, via e-mail. In fact, this is a practice we
recommend you adopt in all of your Internet activities.
We designed CarrollGardens.com to accept orders only from Web
browsers that permit communication through Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
technology; for example, versions 3.02 or higher of Internet
Explorer. This means you'll be unable to inadvertently place an
order through an unsecured connection.
Our website is securely protected using high level SSL security by
THAWTE.
Shipping and Handling
We ship year-round, weather permitting, via Federal Express.
In general, we ship only if the maximum temperature between
destinations is forecast to be below 90 degrees F during the
shipping period, or if the minimum temperature is forecast to be
over 20 degrees F. Even though most of our plants are container
grown, some will not tolerate shipping during certain seasons. These
varieties are shipped only during the time that’s in the best
interest of the welfare of the plant.
Unless otherwise instructed, we use best efforts to ship so that
plants arrive to you near the end of the week, in time for weekend
planting. Please do not be concerned if your order arrives in more
than one shipment. Carroll Gardens absorbs any additional charges
involved, and it’s almost always done for the welfare of the plants.
If ordering non-plant items, those items are not subject to the
temperature restrictions above and will be shipped usually within
one week of your order being received. We reserve the right to vary
this time frame at our sole discretion.

accompanies your shipment.
Product Terms
This website cancels all previous versions of our catalog,
newsletters and any other materials previously distributed as to
price, selection and availability. Prices are subject to change
without notice.
All plants are offered subject to availability. Because we carry so
many rare varieties, the supply of each one is necessarily limited
and some will sell out early. We reserve the right to limit the
quantity of any scarce plant sold to any customer. Our website
business is a retail business. We do not offer a wholesale discount
on “shipped” orders. Any and all quantity discounts apply to all
customers.
Product Guarantee
We guarantee all plant materials to be ready-to-grow,
true-to-name and to reach you in fresh, healthy condition. As we are
unable to control your growing conditions, successful cultivation in
your garden is not guaranteed. Shipments of plant products to
Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nevada, Oregon,
Utah and Washington
carry no warranty except for “trueness-to-name”. We must be notified
in writing within 10 days if plants are unsatisfactory. We realize
that you often cannot determine “trueness-to-name” until flowering.
Any plant material failing to qualify will be replaced ONCE ONLY at
the proper planting time. For any material we cannot supply, we will
credit your account if already charged. Success in cultivation is
not guaranteed. In no event will Carroll Gardens Inc. be responsible
for damages greater than the customer’s purchase price.
Product Descriptions
Carroll Gardens, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Carroll
Gardens) attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, Carroll
Gardens does not warrant that product descriptions or other content
of this site is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or

If you prefer to
place your order via the telephone, our toll-free number is
1-800-638-6334. Our local telephone number is 410-848-5422. We
also have a Baltimore line: 410-876-7336. We are best able to
handle your telephone orders and inquiries between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
on weekdays, and between 8:30 am – 3:30 pm on Saturdays. There are
no Saturday hours during November, December, July and August.
For Fax orders,
you should complete your order using the shopping cart on this
website. When you get to the Customer Information screen, under the
heading of “Select Payment Method”, select “PhoneFax”. Then you
will proceed to the Verification screen to verify and update
anything about your order. Once finished, click on Checkout. This
will bring you to your order confirmation screen. Please click on
the button at the bottom labeled “Print This Page”, and print the
page, and then fax to 410-857-4112.
Your Account
If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the
confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting
access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for
all activities that occur under your account or password. If you are
